One down!

Well, after I got the kids to bed last night, I walked past the fish tank and noticed that Butterfly was dead! Which came as quite the surprise because we fed them about two hours earlier and he was eating and doing good. I called Daddy (who is in Minot for the State Am) and asked him what I should do. He yelled out to his friends, "Hey what do you do when your daughter's fish dies?" I could hear them all giving their advice, which included: Give it a funeral. Go buy a new one! and She might not even notice!

Well, I disposed of the fish, still not sure what to tell her. I went to bed hoping that she wouldn't notice for a while which would give me some time to think of what to tell her or give me time to maybe buy a new one?!?! Well, 7:30 this morning I was still asleep when I heard some footsteps coming up the stairs, then I heard her stop, then she runs into my room. She says, "Mommy, what happened to the Tiger Striped fish?" Seriously she noticed within only a second or two of walking past the fish tank on her way to my room!!!

So, thinking I had more time to come up with an explanation, I was quite unprepared and it didn't help that I was still half asleep! So, I told her the truth, "He died and mommy had to flush him down the toilet!" To my surprise she handled it quite well. Maybe it is because she has watched Finding Nemo a million times and she knows all drains go to the ocean! ;-)

All she really said was, "Mommy the fishie didn't like going down the toilet!" I told her, "I know, Mommy is sorry!" She seemed OK with that and said, "Mommy do NOT flush Ladybug, OK?" I promised I wouldn't. Then she quickly ran into brother's room to tell him the news of what Mommy did!

Ladybug & Butterfly

Grandma and Grandpa took me shopping for my fish this weekend! We had a GREAT time!!! First we went to Scheels to ride on the ferris wheel again, then we went to McDonalds and I even got to play on the play land! Then off to pick out my pets! I told Grandma and Grandpa that I wanted an orange fish and a pretty fish! That is just what I got! I even got to name them myself! The orange one's name is Ladybug and the pretty (white and black) fish is named Butterfly! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the fish! I LOVE them!!!

Party at our House!

Tonight I had my birthday party with Daddy's family. When I saw the second cake that mommy made, I asked her "How did you fix the cake, Mommy?" Since we had eaten the first one at Nana and Papa's! Mommy told me it was magic!

Notice my pretty dress and headband that my cousin gave me! Don't I look beautiful?!?!

Time to tear into the presents!

Grandma and Grandpa bought me a fish tank and promised to take me shopping for a fish. I like the card Grandma picked out, it sang "Three Little Fishies."

Yep, this card is pretty cool!

I can't wait to go shopping for my new fish!!! Hurry up Daddy, put the tank together so we can go get those fish!!!

More presents!

Auntie Christine and Brian got me Bendaroos! They were pretty entertaining!

Everyone had a great time at my party!

Thanks again everyone! Love to you all and thanks again for coming to wish me a Happy Birthday!

Birthday Party @ Papa and Nana's

This weekend our little girl had her 3rd birthday. She has been telling everyone she sees that she is having a "horsie" birthday party! What better place to celebrate a horsie party, but at Nana and Papa's Ranch?

Here she is blowing out her three candles. (All week long she has been telling me she wanted FIVE candles on her cake, not three! I tried to explain that she could only have three because that was how old she was going to be, but she didn't care, she wanted FIVE! Once she saw that the lit candles she forgot all about wanting five and was happy with three!)

What we don't do for our sister! Pink My Little Pony Crowns for everyone!!!

We all loved eating cake!

She sure got the loot! Everyone knows this little girl pretty well. As soon as she opened one present, she wanted it opened up right way so she could play!

This partying stuff is tough work. I fell asleep at lunch in my high chair. Everyone started laughing at me and I woke up gave everyone a big smile/half laugh and fell right back to sleep!

Don't we look like twins in our matching V-day shirts from Nana and Papa? (We are looking for Libby!)

Thanks for a fun weekend! I love you; Papa, Nana, Grady, Tom, Mimi, and Wanda!

Daddy's Birthday

This weekend for Daddy's birthday Grandpa and Grandma took us out for lunch after church. Daddy wanted to stop by Scheels to get a new pair of basketball shoes. While we were there I convinced Grandma to take me on the ferris wheel. Mommy thought I would be afraid, but I LOVED it!

I think Brother would have liked to have gone too, but he was still too short! But, he had fun watching me go around and around!

After Grandma took me, I asked Grandpa to take me again. He said yes, much to Grandma's surprise, since heights and rides in general aren't his thing. But he did say yes and I think he had a good time. I held his hand so he wouldn't be scared!

Brother got tired of watching us go around and around and he took a quick nap!

It was a fun day had by all! Happy birthday Daddy! We love you!!!
