Great Grandma M

Great Grandma M came to visit us this weekend! She is one of the Grandmas Baby Anisen is named after. She is pretty special to us and we are SO proud that Anisen has her middle name!

1 Week Pictures

Here are Baby A's pictures from her 1 week photo shoot we did this weekend.

Her Auntie Christine made this hammock for her! Told you she was talented! ;-) Daddy held her up while Mommy quickly tried to get a picture. For being a little peanut, Daddy sure thought she got heavy quick!

Siblings

With a couple bribes I got them all to sit still long enough to snap a couple pictures! They are adjusting well to being the big sister and the big brother and love their new baby sister to the moon and back!

The Nursery

Finally our sweet baby girl has a room to call her own! Daddy was pretty happy he didn't have to paint! The room isn't 100% done, but it is getting closer. Nana came and stayed with us for a couple days and we found this idea to paint diagonal stripes on the internet, but we didn't want to have to paint. That's when Nana said, "Why can't we just use vinyl tape, like the vinyl they use for all the other wall decals; like Uppercase Living!" After doing some searching we found white vinyl tape and got to work. Hopefully it sticks! So far it looks like it will!

I haven't printed any pictures yet, that is why the frames are empty! :-)

I still need to find some larger frames or artwork to go on the sides of the changing table. I also need to replace Miss E's baby pictures with Baby A's.

Check out the beautiful blanket Auntie Christine made. She is SO talented. It goes perfect in her room too!

The letters and frames I just made last minute because we needed something big to go above her crib. They turned out pretty cute!

Daycare

Talk about a lot of changes for these two little monkeys! First they bring home a new baby and then a couple days later they start a brand new daycare! They woke up very excited to go to Kim's house! Little E even said, "Let's GO mom!" even though he was still in his jammies and had just woken up. He was headed for the door!

Here we are at Kim's house! I told them I wanted a picture and Little E jumps right on her lap for the picture (even though this is only the second time he has ever met her!) :-) Miss E was a little reserved, but still sat next to her for a quick photo op.

I haven't called yet, but I did send a text asking how things were going and this is what I got back, "We are doing GREAT!" Mommy and Daddy hope things continue to be great and that they have a great year. . . we know they will! :-)

It's a GIRL!

She is here!!! Our sweet beautiful baby girl is here (and a week early, much to our surprise!)

Anisen Pearl arrived on Friday, August 19th at 6:38 a.m. She was 7 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long. . . and might we add, absolutely PERFECT!!! :-) She is named after her Great-Great Grandma Annie on her dad's side and she got her middle name from her Great-Great Grandma & Great-Grandma's middle names on her mom's side. They were/are all wonderful people and we are excited that she can carry on their names!

Well, it all began Thursday after in-service. Mommy got home and started cleaning up around the house, when she thought maybe her water broke. . . turns out it did! She called the hospital and they said to give it a couple hours and then come in. We got to the hospital around 8:30. The hospital was SO busy they didn't even have a room for us right way when we got there. Finally they moved us into the suite. It had a nice pull out chair for daddy!

Finally at 6:32 a.m. the nurse came into check Mommy and said she was ready to start pushing and she was going to get the Dr. Then at 6:38 she was BORN! Still in shock that it all happened so fast, considering it took the Dr. a couple minutes to get to our room and get prepped. :-)

Nana and Papa got up at 3 and left for the hospital. Made it just in time too!

Grandpa and Grandma were nice enough to spend the night with the kids. They got to the hospital as soon as they could!

Our first family photo!

Here she is after her bath. We think she looks a lot like Mommy and Brother!

We had lots of visitors throughout the day! Everyone was super excited to meet Baby Anisen!

Finally it was time for bed. She slept really good from 9-11:30, but then was up straight until 5:30 in the morning. So needless to say, Mommy and Daddy did not get any sleep! It is a good thing she is so cute!

The next morning we were able to go home, which we were super excited about! Here Daddy is getting her in the car seat.

All ready!

Ahh. . . finally at home!

Can you tell she is well liked?!?!

We are so blessed and finally complete now that Baby Anisen is home safe and sound! God is good!

Back to School Night

We are SO thrilled that Miss E got into the same preschool again this year as a community peer role model. This year she will get to go four days a week instead of two, to help transition to Kindergarten. . . which means a lot more transporting for Mom but it will be worth it! :-) Tonight was back to school night so she got to bring all her school supplies and visit the classroom. She even got to pick out a special treat bag from Ms. O (Who she absolutely LOVES!)

She doesn't look quite as frightened as she did last year on back to school night! It is nice to see we are making "some" progress! :-)

The Final Countdown!

Well with nine days left until my due date, I figured I better get a pregnancy picture so I have something to look back at! Today was my first day back at school, so I figured since I needed to get dressed up anyway, I might as well get a picture taken too!

I can't believe how close we are to meeting our new little bundle of joy! I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. You would think with it being our third baby, I would be an old pro at this, but I feel in the last three years I have forgotten everything! Hopefully it is like riding a bike! :-)

This pregnancy has definitely been more challenging then the first two. Not sure if it is because I am getting older or because I have two other kids that I am constantly chasing after?!?! Either way, I am looking forward to it being over and starting the next chapter in our lives!

Yunker Farm

On Friday we decided we needed to get out of the house so we headed into Yunker Farm. We picked up our niece Miss L from daycare, Grandma and Grandpa and brought them all with. We had never been there, so we didn't know what to expect. They had tons of interactive games and learning centers for the kids. It was a fun day!

Daddy thought it was neat to see how high Little E could climb and then slide down! Mommy knows it is just a matter of time before that boy has a broken bone!
