Life on the Farm

One of the best parts about going home to Nana and Papa's is taking in all there is on farm!

Adyn found this tiny little nest out in the trees.

All the kids love going for four wheeler rides around the yard. Not sure if any more kiddos will be able to fit, we might have to start taking the kids in shifts! :-)

They have several yearling colts that they are going to be selling that they keep up by the barn, which is perfect for the kids since they love having close assess to the horses and the horses enjoy all the attention too!

Little E thought it was neat to carry around a whip. He would tell anyone who would listen that he was a cowboy. If you asked him if he liked horses he would say, "No, I like COWS! I am a cowboy!"

There are some new kittens in the barn that are pretty wild but were getting tamer every day.

Had to snap this picture of little G Man's shoes. He was wearing them like this for a good half hour before I noticed and he really didn't seem to mind at all! He was actually mad that I made him stop for a second so I could fix them!

Here is our "real" cowboy! ;-)

One of the surprises of the weekend was one of the mares named, Blue. All the other mares and colts have been turned out to the pasture several weeks ago. They kept Blue home because they didn't think she was going to foal and she is one of their riding horses. Well Saturday morning all the kids went out to pet her, since she is usually waiting by the gate for them and they found her with her new baby filly. It was quite the surprise and boy were they excited to come report the news to everyone!

Fishing and Swimming

The fish were really biting this weekend. In a little over an hour they had nine fish. Papa and Daddy cooked them up for us the next day and they were yummy!

It was Daddy's job to get the hook out!

Had to post this picture. Little E learned what happened when he didn't watch were he was walking when the cows were in the pasture the day before! :-) Good thing Daddy and Nana came to his rescue! We ended up having to throw his pants, shoes, and socks into the wash and carrying him home in his undies!

The water is still surprisingly cold for being the end of June. Daddy, Tom, and Papa bet Addi that she wouldn't jump in the lake, but she did and she collected some cash from the three of them in return!

Adyn watched on thinking she was CRAZY! ;-)

Football anyone?

What do you do when you have five boys that need to run off some energy? Play football!

I love this one of the G Man! Uncle Tom might want to do some recruiting with these boys in a couple years! :-)

I think he might have just gotten tackled.

Our cheerleaders! ;-)

Baby Cousin

After several days of being cooped up at our house we loaded the car and headed to Nana and Papa's. We had lots of fun getting to see the rest of our family! Little Millicent is certainly growing and we all had lots of fun watching her learn how to eat!

And of course playing with her!

Great Grandma M even got in on the fun!

Fun with Cousins

This last week we had Addi and Grady come stay with us. The weather was rainy for most of the time they were here, but we found things to do to keep us busy!
