Snow storms

Daddy worked for over two hours this morning to clear snow in our driveway. Just in time to clear it again after storm number 2 hits us later today and tomorrow! Last night at about 9:30 we noticed that our furnace was blowing, but there wasn't any heat coming out. After some tinkering, Daddy went out side and found out that all our vents were covered with snow. Once he dug them all out, the heat was back on. Good thing, it was mighty cold last night!

Cute Letters

We are going to have a new little niece born in the near future! (Hopefully she waits until the storms pass to make her arrival!)

Tami wanted something to go on one of the walls in the baby's room and I told her I would make the baby's name out of letters. I got this idea to cover letters from one of my friends! They turned out really cute. Since Tami isn't telling the baby's name to everyone until she is born, I decided to only show a couple of the letters, to keep those of you who don't know her name guessing!

Here is the crib blanket that she let me borrow so I could match up the paper and paint.

Here are the supplies I needed. This project was very simple, but a little time consuming.

After tracing the letters, I cut them out. I also cut out circles to match the blanket! (Note, it would have been easier to find paper with both matching colors, but I didn't have any luck!)

I painted the letters a light pink so all the edges looked finished.

Then I simply added a couple coats of Mod Podge. When they were all dry I added the bows.
Now lets just hope the Doctor was right when he said they were having a baby girl! ;-)

Santa Came to Our House!

We must have been good this year, because Santa sure left us the loot!

Christmas Day was the hardest one yet for Little Brother. He pretty much spent the whole day like this or crying in Mommy's arms! This is how he sat while Sister opened all her gifts and his. Poor little buddy!

When we asked her what her favorite gift was this Christmas, she said her Princess Dolls! She has played with them nonstop!

Brother came around for a couple minutes to try out his new hammer toy and then it was back to mommy! Today he is much better and he is starting to get back to normal, so that is good! We haven't had this much cuddling from that little guy since he was a newborn!

Christmas Eve

Daddy took Sister to church and then we all headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for supper. Little Brother wasn't feeling all that good, so we had to make it a quick night. But we still had a great time with family.

Mommy got a new printer. This one will be able to print all her digital scrapbooking pages! Daddy says she doesn't need to go to all these fancy scrapbooking retreats now that she can do it all from home. . . what does he know?!?! ;-)

Daddy's Hunt

With Daddy busy schedule, he has hardly made it out to go hunting at all this year. On Christmas Eve Day he finally got to go out for a while and he even came back with a bird! As you can see by the looks of his overhauls, it was pretty wet under all that snow.

Christmas Cookies

Last night we finally got around to making some cookies. We figured we need something to leave out for Santa!

Can you tell which ones little brother decorated?

Yes, he made a worm too!

Surgery

On Wednesday little brother had his tonsils and adenoids taken out. He was quite the trooper! The hardest part for us was when the nurse had to take him. Hearing him scream until they put him under was tough on Mommy and Daddy! We were glad when it was all over and we got to hold our little buddy again!

Auntie Heidi and family brought him up a balloon that distracted him for a bit. :-) The hardest part of the recover for him was wanting his IV out and the heart monitor that they had on his toe off! He was a happy camper when they were finally able to remove them!

He is doing better with each passing day. We still need to keep on top of the pain meds regularly, but besides that he is doing better then expected.

Christmas #1

Last weekend we celebrated Christmas with Mommy's family! We had a great time at Auntie Heidi and Uncle Chris' house!

That Uncle Tom is such a good sport! If you look close, you can see his feet under all the cushions!

Is that Santa I see?

Christmas Program

On Sunday our Little Miss had her first Christmas Program at Church. She did really well for how shy she is. She did most of the signing and actions. We were really proud of her!

Here she is before the program, modeling her pretty outfit!

Here she is after the Program. She asked Grandma the day before if she was going to wear a dress for the program too and Grandma said she would! Don't they look nice all dressed up?!?! :-)

Santa

As you can tell some liked the visit with Santa more then others!

And then it was off to ornament making.

And again. . . some liked this more then others! ;-) This is the first time Mommy has ever seen Daddy do an Arts and Craft activity so she made sure to capture the moment!

Then lastly we stopped to see some of Santa's reindeer.

We are getting very excited for Christmas! Hope Santa brings us everything we want!

Gingerbread Man

Mommy brought home her gingerbread pan from school so that we could have a turn with it. I think we ate more then we actually put on our gingerbread man, but he still turned out pretty cute!

Birthday Party

Our sweet little cousin had her second birthday party a few days ago. We had lots of fun celebrating with her. We ordered her a birthday shirt to match her monkey theme, so she had to open up a gift before the party even started! :-)

Yummy, pizza!

Then it was time for cake! Our favorite!

Blowing out the candles. . .

The cake was so good, all the kids wanted a second helping after they played a bit!

Then it was time for presents!

She liked the book we gave her and she knew just who to go to, to have it read to her! ;-)

Grandma and Grandpa got her a basketball hoop. Little E was showing her all his moves (even the not so good ones; like stand on chairs to make a basket or holding the net closed as he shoots, so he doesn't have to rebound the ball!) Looks like she got the hang of this basketball thing!

Thanks for letting us share your special day with us! We love you!!! XOXO
