Vacation

What a weekend we had! Both Mommy and Daddy finished up their school year and decided to take a mini vacation to the cities. We had SO much fun together!

We stopped at the zoo.


Miss E's favorite animal was the dolphins!


Little Brother loved the leopards, tigers, monkeys, and bears!


They loved getting to swim in the hotel pool!

Then it was off to the Mega Mall to do some shopping and playing! :-)

There were only a handful of rides that both kids could go on. We got in line for this one because they both met the height requirement. After we watched it, we both wanted to get out of line because we thought it would be too scary for the kids. However this was their favorite thing about the whole trip. They went on this ride over and over and over again! :-)

Mommy's favorite part of the trip was listening to these two giggle into the night. Now she knows why she doesn't have her kids sharing a room. They were up WAY past their bedtime, giggling and having fun. . . even though Mommy and Daddy were ready for bed!

T-ball Practice

Mommy finally got to come with to watch Miss E have t-ball practice. For being the end of May, it was pretty cold. Mommy and brother even had to go sit in the car half way though, because it was too cold!

She is doing better with each practice! Can't wait for their first game! :-)

New Room

On Sunday Miss E got to spend her first night down in her new room! She was pretty excited about it, even though it looks almost identical to her old room. . . since it has the same floor plan. The only difference is that her new room is a bit softer pink. The walls are still bare since I am not sure yet what we want to put up. If Miss E had her way, it would be covered with Princesses and castles!

Gymnastics

Last week we had our awards night for gymnastics. Daddy had the camera as he sat in on Miss E's session, so we didn't get a lot of pictures of the little man.

But here they are with their ribbons.

Baby on the Brain

Miss E has been asking a lot of questions about the baby that is growing inside mommy's tummy! Here are just a FEW of the ones I can remember:

* "When the baby "pops" out of your tummy, who's house is it going to live in?"

* "Mom, who's belly did you "pop" out of?"

* "Mom, is the baby wearing jammies?"

* "How come the baby gets to do whatever it wants?"

* When someone asked her what she thought the baby would be, she answered, "I don't know, it is probably a boy or a girl!"

* "Mom, do you have to mash up all the food you eat before the baby gets it, so it doesn't choke?"

Little E on the other hand doesn't ask a lot of questions. However he loves giving my tummy kisses and talking to the baby. He has also been seen at home and at daycare carrying all his animals rolled up in his shirt and telling everyone that he has a baby in his tummy! :-)

Catch!

This week Miss E started T-ball. Daddy is helping out with the coaching which is yet to be determined if it is a good thing or a bad thing! After practice number one, we think it might be a bad thing since Daddy claims all she did was cling to him!

We have been practicing our catching in the living room each night and she is getting better and seems to enjoy it. She said right before bed that she won't hold onto Daddy next time she goes to practice. We'll see!

Here she is trying to make a catch tonight. Note Mommy is a bad at throwing anyway, but when she is trying to videotape and toss, it isn't pretty! Also note Little E in the background. We need to find him a right handed glove, since he is proving to be left handed and fights us each time he has to put the glove on! He will wear it on the left if we make him, but then takes it off to throw left!

Babysitting

This weekend we had so much fun babysitting our niece Millicent! She is such a good baby!



We also had Addi come stay with us too, to help out! She was a big help . . . wish we had an "Addi" of our own! ;-) Sure makes things easier when you have three sets of hands, instead of two!

What a GREAT weekend! Can't wait for our girls to come back and visit us again soon!!!

Dance Program

On May 1st Miss E had her spring dance program. It was so fun for us to see how she has really matured this year from the first program where she just stood there moving her feet a bit to now actually doing all the steps and even seeming to enjoy it! :-) We were very proud of her!

After the program it was time to watch all the other girls. Miss E only made it through a couple songs before she feel asleep on Dawnie's lap! All this dancing stuff is tough work!

Baptism

Last night our sweet little niece was baptised.


Here we are before we left for the church. We were worried that her baptismal gown wasn't going to fit, but it was just right!

She had everyone in the church entertained because she would scream when the water and oils were placed on her, but as soon as the Priest talked she would stop.
