As I enter the last post for October, I can't help but take a sigh of relief. This has been the busiest month of them all! With 22 posts this month (I think my most ever) there has been some great memories made and fun times had by all. Not even counting my annual scrapbooking weekend, the state Kindergarten Conference, State Cross Country and numerous DECA events for Jas, parent teacher conferences for both of us, and countless other projects and things we have been doing.
The kids at school have the countdown on the white board on how many days of school until I return from my maternity leave. They remind me every chance they can. :-) I am looking forward to going back but it is always hard leaving a baby behind. These next two weeks I am going to do nothing but enjoy my time with her. So if you come visit, expect to find me in my jammies, toys all over, and laundry piled high! OK, probably not. . . but really I do plan to enjoy these last two weeks with Baby A. I know they are going to go fast! . . . they always do!

Trick or Treat!
What a fun night of trick or treating we had. We went to a couple houses and then the kids had tons of fun handing out popcorn to the trick or treaters. Mommy enjoyed seeing all her students too! It was a fun night!
Here is our little strawberry!
And our Naughty Bear!
Then there is Strawberry Shortcake!
Our first stop of the night was of course Grandpa and Grandma's. They rang the doorbell and then had to peek in the windows. Miss E must have learned a lot today at school from the cop that came around to the classrooms to talk about Halloween safety. She told me right before we left for trick or treating that she can't go into anyone's house. I had to explain to her that it was OK if we went into Grandpa and Grandma's house because we know them! Later in the car she asked if she could eat a piece of candy and I told her she could. She said, "MOM! Don't you know you are suppose to look through my candy before I can eat it!" It is good to know she can pay attention when she wants to!
It was perfect timing because only a couple minutes after being at Grandpa's and Grandma's our cousins showed up.
Happy Halloween Everyone!

Happy Halloween
Earlier this month I made Halloween dresses and shirts for my kids. I ended up having enough fabric so I made them for all my all my nieces and nephews too. Finally this morning we got to wear them.
To say we are excited for trick or treating tonight would be an understatement! Hope to see you out and about. . . if we don't, be sure to have a Happy Halloween anyway! :-)

Halloween Party
This weekend we had a Halloween party at our house. We had a great time with friends. . . my cheeks never hurt so bad in my life from laughing all night at everyone in their costumes.
We went as Cleopatra and Bret Michaels (I know, quite the pair!) :-)
A quick picture of a couple of the girls before everyone got there. I sent everyone that came to the party a Shutterfly link to the rest of the pictures (too many to post on the blog) . . . let me know if I missed someone! :-)
Here are some pictures of the food and decorations that my friend Nikki and I came up with.

Football anyone?!?!
Uncle Tom's football team is on a roll. They are currently undefeated and this weekend won their first play off game. Auntie Mimi got everyone shirts to wear to the game to help cheer them on.
The family, minus Papa who was taking the picture, Tom who was coaching, and Baby A who we left with Grandpa and Grandma because it was too cold.
Brother did not make it very long once he got all cuddled in on Nana's nap. He must have been tired to miss such a good game!
It was pretty chilly, but we had a great time! Keep it up Uncle Tom, we are SUPER proud of you and your boys!

Gymnastics
We started a new session of gymnastics this fall. We are actually trying out a different place to see how we like it. The verdict is still out on which one we like better. But they seem to really enjoy themselves.
Since both of their classes were small their groups got combined so they were actually in the same class. It was pretty funny watching them. Miss E would sit so good and listen when the teacher was demonstrating/teaching. Brother on the other hand, as soon as she wasn't looking would run around through the course and as soon as the teacher would turn around, he knew to quickly run back to his spot so she never knew he was gone! He might be trouble!!!

We finally got around to carving our pumpkins we brought home from the pumpkin patch. Miss E wanted hers to look like a princess (go figure!).
And brother wanted his to look like a lion (go figure again!) :-)

2 Month Tshirt
Well our little girl is officially two months old today! She definitely is a mover. She has rolled over at least 50 times from tummy to back and when she is on her back she can roll over onto her side. She is a very happy girl who loves to look at you and smile!
She is still doing great at sleeping. This last week she has been going to bed at 9 or so and wakes up at around 5. She eats and then goes back to sleep for another four hours. Then she is up to play!
I have a feeling she is going to be a thumb sucker since she is always trying to get it in her mouth. I have been trying to get her to take the pacifier, but I am not having much luck.
Comparing her one month and two month pictures, it looks like she is starting to fill out some!
At her two month check up appointment we found out that she weighs 9.11 lbs ~ 20%, 22.5 inches long ~ 55%, and her head was 14.5 inches ~ 10%.

Dinosaur Party!
It was finally time for Brother's big dinosaur birthday party that he (and Mommy) have been looking forward to for quite some time!
Not only was it Brother's birthday party but it was also our sweet little nephew's birthday too! We had lots of fun doing a double birthday party!!!
Here are some picture of the decorations and centers.
Time to eat.
Then it was time to PLAY! Brother's pirate ship was a big hit. All the kids got pretty wet, but were loving it!
A dinosaur puppet show.
The dinosaur tattoo parlor. The kids had fun getting "inked" by Nana!
The Dinosaur Dig station.
Just when you didn't think the kids could get any messier, we made fossils! The kids each got to make and decorate there own cement hand-print stepping stones.
After all the fun and games it was finally time for cake.
And then the presents!
Brother got a bike from Nana and Papa. Daddy and Papa had to assemble it.
Look at him go!
Thanks everyone for making the boy's birthdays SO very special! We hope you DUG our DINOSAUR birthday party! P.S. "Rawr" in Dinosaur means. . . I LOVE YOU!!! . . . . Rawr!!!
