HOMEWORK!

My First Homework Assignment:

Good grief!!!! You would think Mommy being a teacher and all she would know better!!! Well, tonight right before bedtime, Mommy remembered I had homework in my backpack that my teacher gave me on Thursday that was due back to school tomorrow; Monday. . . yes, she gave it to me on THURSDAY so I had all weekend to get it done!!! Well, bedtime was in 5 minutes and that meant I need to "buckle down" and get this project done. . . at least that is what my Mommy said!

Here I am starting my coloring. I decided to color it with markers.

Here I am 40 minutes later finishing my chipmunk (that Mommy kept calling a squirrel!) I decided to make a rainbow chipmunk!

Here I am 45 minutes later cutting everything out. When I wouldn't look at the camera, Daddy told Mommy, "She can't look up, she is concentrating!" I replied, "Daddy I am not concentrating, I am cutting!"

Ahh! 50 minutes later and I have my homework finished! Doesn't it look nice? I hope Mommy saves my homework every night until it's bedtime. . . I love getting to stay up late!

Apple Pies

Today after Sunday School, Mommy and I headed to Great Grandma M's house to help bake apple pies. Papa finally got a good crop of apples off of his tree that Great Grandma and Great Grandpa M gave them many years ago. We made 12 pies today. Sure went fast when we had so many helping hands. The first pie we made went straight into the oven for some taste testing! It passed! Yummy!

Sunday School

I started Sunday School this last weekend. Mommy's friend Erin thankfully had her camera with to capture this momentous occasion. Mommy is my teacher for the month of September, which I think is pretty cool. Another cool part of Sunday School is that EVERYONE from daycare also goes to my church so I get to see all my friends. I had a great first day and learned all about how Jesus told the wind to stop and how he saved his disciples on the boat.

Gymnastics

Tonight was the first night of the kid's fall gymnastics.

Little E did AWESOME! Except for not wanting to sit on the carpet squares when the teacher was talking, he was way more outgoing than his sister was at that age and jumped right into everything (full force. . . his only speed!)

Another cool thing about tonight was that I was able to visit with a mom of a little boy who sat right next to E and we discovered that he had the same birthday as E. We also found out that we delivered in the same hospital, only 4 hours apart and in the room next door! What are the odds of that? Her little boy was also dressed exactly like E; with a white tank and blue shorts! Crazy. . . I know! ;-)

Big sister did pretty awesome tonight too! We talked all the way into town that she is a big girl now and she doesn't need Mommy's help anymore! I guess the talk helped, because she went right in, found her carpet square, let me take a few pictures, and let me leave without clinging to me! Sniff, sniff, I guess she is a big girl now! ;-)

All was good, except for when it was time to leave! We had one little boy who was crying or should I say SCREAMING because he didn't want to go home! Oh the joys of being the parent of a child who is about to turn 2!

An Anniversary and 4 birthdays!

It was my Mom and Dad's 39th wedding anniversary this past weekend. We were glad we were able to be home to help them celebrate it! I snapped a quick picture of them up in one of old garages that we were helping them tin. Dad was sure impressing everyone with his ability to cut those angles on the peak. . . should have gotten an after picture of all his handy work! ;-) Love you Mom and Dad! Thank you for being the rock for all of us! You have stood the test of time and we are all so grateful for everything you have done for all of us!!!! You will never know how much your guidance and love through the years have meant to all of us! Love you lots!
YES we jammed in a bunch this last trip home! . . . We also celebrated all the August birthdays! Happy Birthday Tom, Heidi, Chris, and Adyn! :-)

Grandma R.

This past weekend we were able to make it home and up to the hospital to visit my Grandma R. She was moved into the long term care facility a couple months ago and we finally got a chance to get up there to see her. I also wanted to make sure I got our fourth generation picture taken with the little man, since we had one with Sister when she was little and we still haven't done that (and he will be 2 this October!) It is hard for Grandma when there are too many people around so it was nice that just Dad, my sisters, and Little E were able to go visit her, without overwhelming her too much. She sure thought he was cute and got a kick out of watching him run around!
Grandma wouldn't look at the camera for this one, because she was too busy watching Little E! :-)

We are all happy that Grandma is being looked after so well. We love you Grandma and wish we could make it home more often to visit! XOXO!

First School Art Project

As soon as Mommy picked me up from preschool today, I told her all about my day and how I got to paint with green paint! Later today, when Mommy walked past my classroom, this is the art project she saw up on the wall. It is my family tree! Isn't it beautiful?!?!

Mommy is LOVING having me just down the hall from her two mornings a week. . . especially when she gets to see all the cool stuff I am doing! ;-)

First day of Preschool!

I don't know who was more excited about my first day of preschool, mommy or me! My backpack was sure heavy with all my school supplies!

Mommy had me "pose" in a couple different places! ;-)

Here I am with my teacher, Julienne!. . . I look a little scared, don't I?

I warmed right up to her. Mommy even got an e-mail a couple minutes after she left me from my teacher that said: FYI, She is doing just fine...no tears or anything. (>:

This is going to be a GREAT year!

Chuck E Cheese

On Tuesday morning Little Miss E, learned all her capital letters! We were SO proud of her. Last week, for the first time ever that I did flashcards with her that I found down in the basement storage room. She knew 15. We were very shocked that she even knew any, let alone 15! Well, we have practiced them daily since (right before bedtime) and on Tuesday morning when she woke up early and brother was still sleeping, we decided we would go through the flashcards one time before we turned on the cartoons. To our surprise she got them ALL! I guess her morning brain works better then her night time brain! ;-) She was very proud of herself and wanted to call Nana and Grandma right away! I told her last week when she only knew 15, that it was great and one day when she learned them all we could go to Chuck E Cheese. (She has been wanting to go there ever since back in May when Dawn, her daycare lady took all the kids, only to find out they were closed for repairs. . . Talk about disappointing! She always reminds us about that day too!) Guess that was all it took for her to want to learn her letters! I am going to have to keep that in mind for other things I want her to do in the future! Haha!

Well, here are some pictures from her big day at Chuck E Cheese!

Notice Little E's jersey! Great Auntie Millie sent it in the mail! We LOVE it! Thanks Auntie Millie!
This little girl climbed up into the tubes and did NOT want to come down!

We sent in a rescue girl after her!
There she comes!

It was a GREAT day at Chuck E Cheese! We asked her what her favorite part of Chuck E Cheese was on the drive home and she said, EVERYTHING!

Drawing

Here is a pictures I drew the other morning for my Mommy! It is a shark! I think I am starting to take after my cousin Adyn who likes to draw sea life! :-)
