Little E's bedroom furniture finally came in yesterday, which meant we could finally set up the baby's crib (since he was using the crib because it turns into a full sized headboard/footboard.)
Once we had the crib all assembled, we magically had two very LARGE kids turn into babies! Complete with pacifiers they found in one of the baskets, intended for baby use only! :-) They played in the crib for hours pretending to be babies. Even when they got out, they would crawl around on the floor making baby noises! They did make pretty cute babies and I got a lot done while they were contained in the crib. I might be talking them into playing babies more often! :-)

Summerfest Fun!
We started Saturday morning out early with some rummage sales and Daddy running in the 5K. Then we headed out to get our seats for the parade. Miss E marched in the Small Notes Music Camp Kiddie Parade, which was cute to watch! Thanks Teacher Vicki a great time!
By the time these kids left the parade they had their bags FULL of candy. I didn't bring my good camera, which I am kicking myself now because most of the pictures I got were blurry! (The kids were moving too fast running after all that candy!) :-)

Then after supper we headed over to the park for the Peanut Drop. This was our first year doing it and we didn't really know what to expect! But both the kids said this was even better then the parade!!! They lined all the kids up based on their age and then threw peanuts out of a golf cart. The kids ran all over the park collecting peanuts and then brought their bags back when they were done for lots of prizes and gift coupons. They definitely got the loot, plus ran off some energy before bedtime! :-)

Surprise!
This weekend we planned the ultimate surprise party for our parents! In September it will be their 40th anniversary! We knew in September most of their friends would be out in the fields and my baby would only be a week or so old, so we decided July would be the perfect time to throw a surprise party! All was going well, until my Dr. said before the fourth, "No traveling!" I had an appointment on the Thursday before the party and he did give the OK to go as long as I took lots of breaks on the trip to get out and walk and hurried back home if I felt any changes.
So off we went, to throw our parents a 40th anniversary surprise party they will never forget!
Here are some pre-pictures of us setting everything up. We all went straight to the Eagles so our parents didn't even know we were home!
Here is Tami putting the labels on the Hooch and Apple Pie that Garret and Chris made!
Putting the cupcakes on the cupcake tree!
All of our family pictures!
Their wedding picture and album. Thanks Wanda and Tami for being sneaky and getting it for us!
The neat blocks Heidi made!

We had some time before the happy couple was to arrive so we got some good family pictures of everyone while we waited. Great Grandma made the trip and looked great!!!

I found all the fabric to make the table runners on the clearance table at Mills End. They really added to the tables!
Setting out the mints.
Then it was time to get ready! Miss E needed her toenails painted!

The sisters!
All the grandkids!
This happy couple just celebrated 15 years of marriage in June! Congrats to them too!
OK, now it is getting close. Only a couple more minutes before the couple is expected to arrive. The guests are all showing up and getting ready! We were VERY happy that Rod and Cindy could make the long drive from Fargo to help us celebrate! :-)

The plan was that our neighbors Ken, Denise, and Garret were going to pick up Mom and Dad and take them out for supper. On their way into town Glen and Helga called them and told them to stop by the Eagles for a quick drink before they went out to eat! It all worked PERFECT! Here is the sign I put out on one of the front doors. We were all inside and could see Mom and Dad walk right by it. It caught Mom's eye and she did a quick stop and then we could all read her expression as she quickly grabbed Dad's arm to point out the sign to him! We weren't sure if she was going to bolt or actually come into the Eagles! :-)
Here they are! VERY surprised.
Here Ken is saying, "We knew we could get anything past you, Jerry! It was Kathie we were worried about!" :-)

Pink or Blue?!?! Baby, We Love You!!!!
OK BLOG followers. . . I have added a poll for you on the right side of the page. You will also see how many days are left on the poll, which will count down to my due date!!! It is getting closer and closer. . . which is starting to stress me out, because this picture shows exactly what the baby's room looks like at this very moment. Two tubs of baby bedding (one for a GIRL and one for a BOY), but NOTHING else!!! Can you believe it? You will also notice that the walls are still a bright pink. My plan is to have paint chips picked out and ready to go, if the baby is a boy (So Jas can hurry home and get it painted before bring the baby home!) If it is a girl, then I will leave it as is, since it will match really good with Miss E's old bedding. :-) Now I know why people like finding out what they are having, sure makes life easier! But we are having lots of fun in the mean time trying to guess what it is! I keep going back and fourth. One day I am certain it is a BOY and then the next, maybe it is a GIRL! Can't wait to find out. As we wait and continue to guess, we better get moving and get this room ready, so I can stop stressing!!!! Wish us luck! :-)

Fishing Fun
This afternoon Daddy loaded everyone up and headed across town to the reservoir to do some fishing. Boy were the fish biting. Every time they cast their poles a fish would be on it within seconds!
Daddy told Miss E to go get changed for fishing and this is what she came upstairs wearing. . . her swimming suit and tutu skirt! She was for sure the best looking fisherman out at the res!
Here she is bringing in a fish.
And her fish!
Then it was Little E's turn!
He liked looking at the worms more then the fish, but posed for a quick picture for Mommy!
Grandpa and Grandma stopped by in their truck to see if we caught anything. Here Grandpa is trying to get us to touch the fish. Good thing Mommy brought the Clorox wipes with!
Little brother is always clowning around!
I think this is my new favorite picture of Miss E!
