Opposite Day

Today in Kindergarten we are learning about the letter O and about opposites.  The kids were asked to dress in opposites.  Miss E has her shirt on backwards, two different boots, earrings, and barrettes, and she also has one ponytail up and one ponytail down.  She was just as excited about Opposite Day as she was on the first day of school!  :-)

Backpack Reading Activity

This week little E got a backpack full of fun night time stories to read with Mommy and Daddy from his preschool teacher.  There was even a flashlight for reading in the dark and snacks!  How cool is that!  Even Mommy couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun reading!  

Swimming Lessons

Last night the kids started swimming lessons!  I was really proud of both of them!  They were much more comfortable in the water then I thought they would be!  

I love how small the student to teacher ratio is!  In Miss E's Level 1 group there were three students.

And in Little E's preschool group there was just him and another little boy.  I think that really helps when they can get so much one on one attention/instruction!

They are both super pumped about going back next week!  :-)

Squirrel Buddies

At the home games the varsity girls basketball team picks two students from grades K through 6 to be on the roster with them and be their Squirrel Buddies!  Miss E was chosen and had the time of her life!!!

They got to go into the locker room before the game for the pep talk.  Then they ran out with the team for warm-ups!

They then stood with the girls for the Star Spangled Banner.

And were part of the starting line up.

And the team huddle.

Then they sat the whole game at the end of the bench, cheering on the squirrels!  What a fun night!!  The basketball fever has certainly set in after being a Squirrel Buddy!  Miss E has been practicing every night since in the garage!  ;-)

Donuts with Dad

This week in Kindergarten Miss was learning all about the letter D!  Everyone even got to bring their dads to school to eat delicious donuts!  She told every she thinks her Dad is Dino-mite because he takes her fishing.  Daddy had fun and was sad when he had to leave and go back to work!  Thanks Mrs. P for a fun morning!

Bath #2

Baby A has been quite the handful lately!  The other night Mommy got Baby A out of the bathtub, put her pjs on, and then went to get Little E in the tub.  As she was getting everything cleaned up Baby A went into to Little E's room and poured out all his fish food all over the carpet.  As Mommy went to get the vacuum cleaner and Baby A then ran back into the bathroom and jumped in the tub!  Can you say, TROUBLE?!?!
