JDRF Fundraising

Once again we are getting ready for the walk in the cities!  My good friend, Anita (Kenley's Mom) and I have doing a lot of thinking this year and we decided to use the song "What We Are" by Will.I.Am to be our theme song!  Our children may have Type 1 Diabetes but we also are determined not to let that be the "ME" the they are going to "BE!"  They are going to be smart, brave, beautiful, special, thoughtful, magical, strong, and SUPER!  And like this song says, NOTHING is going to bring us down!  ;-)

There is the link to our JDRF walk website if you want to donate!  With the help of JDRF there have been SO many advances in the world of Diabetes that have already helped make our life a little easier.  So while we wait for a cure we know JDRF is doing everything they can to help us!  Thanks for your donations!  I was telling someone the other day that it means so much to know people care. . . to know we aren't alone!  THANK YOU!!!!

Church Music Program

The kids had their music program today for Sunday School and if they weren't the sweetest things ever, I don't know what is!  ;-)  Nothing like little kids singing Christmas songs to get you in the holiday spirit!!!

Trouble

This one is ALWAY into trouble!!  She is also a climber, which adds to the trouble.  Here she is climbing up to Miss E's spot after she was done eating, thinking she can finish up her plate!

Gingerbread House

Today Miss E got to decorate Gingerbread Houses in Kindergarten!  She asked Grandma to come help her!

Of course Mommy had to stop over to check out how everything was going!

Here she is with her "masterpiece!"

There is always something fun happening in Kindergarten!

School Christmas Concert

Miss E had her very first school music program the other night.  She did GREAT!

Her Kindergarten teacher.

And her mommy as she is getting her own classroom ready for the program.

And finally Mrs. B. her music teacher!

A class picture before they head to the concert.

She did pretty good, but I could tell she was getting tired!

Even Santa came to check it out!  :-)

Wrestling

Little E started wrestling practice and LOVES it!  We aren't sure how much he is getting out of it (You'll see what we mean after watching the video!)  But he loves it!  Too bad he isn't a Burro, because hes really got those donkey kicks down!  When he got home from his first practice I asked him if he liked it and he said, "Yeah I like it Mom, but they didn't give me any trophies!"  I'll have to talk to the coach about that one and figure out why he isn't giving trophies out at practices!  LOL!

Thanksgiving Weekend

What a wonderful weekend home with the family!

Of course we ate WAY too much!

AJ making the pies!  Yum

 Nana's Girls.

Sleepyhead.

The kids kept busy playing lots of games of Hide-n-Seek.

Where did AJ go?

They had hours of fun getting pulled on the sled behind the four-wheeler.

They also built forts in the snow.

Climbed the bales.

And did art projects that Nana planned.  It was a Wonderful Thanksgiving. We are truly blessed!!!

When the cold weather comes, the kids have fun playing out in the garage.  Baby A LOVES riding around and around with Miss E!

Holiday Lights Parade

Last night we took Auntie Christine up on her offer to ride the "Ruby" with her in the Holiday Lights Parade!  We had LOTS of fun!  Thanks Auntie Christine!  We LOVE you!!!

Lefse Making with Grandma

We know Grandma makes good lefse when she sent a package home with me after she finished a batch earlier in the week and I made a piece for Little E and he says after the first bite, "WOW! Mom how did you make this better then Grandma's?"  As much as I did not want to, I had to tell him the truth!  LOL!

On Saturday Little E helped Grandma make his own lefse.  He was a pretty good helper!

And go figure, the girls didn't have much interest in making lefse but were sure helpful in EATING it!  ;-)  Here is a quick picture of them doing arts and crafts while we were busy making the lefse.
