Dinosaur Party!

It was finally time for Brother's big dinosaur birthday party that he (and Mommy) have been looking forward to for quite some time!

Not only was it Brother's birthday party but it was also our sweet little nephew's birthday too! We had lots of fun doing a double birthday party!!!

Here are some picture of the decorations and centers.

Time to eat.

Then it was time to PLAY! Brother's pirate ship was a big hit. All the kids got pretty wet, but were loving it!

A dinosaur puppet show.

The dinosaur tattoo parlor. The kids had fun getting "inked" by Nana!

The Dinosaur Dig station.

Just when you didn't think the kids could get any messier, we made fossils! The kids each got to make and decorate there own cement hand-print stepping stones.

After all the fun and games it was finally time for cake.

And then the presents!

Brother got a bike from Nana and Papa. Daddy and Papa had to assemble it.

Look at him go!

Thanks everyone for making the boy's birthdays SO very special! We hope you DUG our DINOSAUR birthday party! P.S. "Rawr" in Dinosaur means. . . I LOVE YOU!!! . . . . Rawr!!!

Birthday Boy!

Little E has blessed our life in so many ways! He makes us SO happy and we love him SO much. . . yesterday, today, and tomorrow too, we love him through and through!!!

It is official our little boy is no longer little! This morning as I picked him up to give him his birthday hug, Miss E said, "Mom, look at how much bigger he is today! It must be because he is THREE now!" She's right! He is bigger. . . it's amazing how one day can do that! ;-)

Here he is opening up his gift from his sisters. Miss E had lots of fun wrapping it and even had to keep it in her room last night to keep it safe. She came up with it this morning and ran to my room and said with amazement! "Look Mom, I kept it safe and I didn't even open it!"

A new watch!

Then it was out to the garage to see his present from Mommy and Daddy. He loves pirates, boats, fishing, and water so we thought this was the perfect gift.

We were finally able to make it to Great Grandma's so she could meet the newest member of our family.

It was a fun afternoon and we were glad we could finally show off Baby A to her!

Naughty Bear

Brother wants to be a "naughty bear" for Halloween this year. I have tried to talk him into thousands of other costumes and he says NO to everything. He has his mind set that he wants to be a "naughty bear." I do not have the slightest idea where he came up with this or even what a naughty bear is. For one day a couple weeks ago I did have him talked into a pirate, but then the next day he was back to the naughty bear. Arrhh. . . so after searching every store possible for a bear costume, I have turned my search to the Internet.

After hours of searching I finally found and bought a bear costume that wasn't for a baby or super ugly or super expensive. I told him this morning that I bought him a "naughty bear" costume and he was SO excited (running, jumping, and dancing around the living room!). I brought the picture up on my computer to show him and his face instantly went from super happy to disappointed. I asked him what was wrong and he replied in the saddest voice ever, "That's not a naughty bear, that's a HAPPY bear!"

Boy is that kid hard to please! I think it will be OK because I told him if he roars really loud in it, it will be a naughty bear and not a happy bear!

So, if you see him out on the street Halloween night, be sure to mention how great his NAUGHTY bear costume looks! :-)

Dentist

Miss E had her first trip to the dentist today! I told her a couple wAdd Imageeeks ago that we should get her into the dentist for a check up and she reminded me each day (several times) to make her an appointment. I finally got around to calling and they had an opening the next day! She was super excited to go, but was a little scared once she actually got there. She did good and the hygienist and dentist said her teeth looked great! They gave her a new toothbrush, new tooth paste, and gave her a token to buy something with in their token machine.

Dance

Miss E has started another year of Dance! She has been patiently waiting for the last month, since I thought it started on September 13th, which it didn't really start until this week! She has only asked about two or three times a day if it was a dance day and FINALLY I could say YES it is a dance day!!!

I was really surprised when I dropped her off at dance and she ran to her spot on the floor without even needing a hug or a kiss, or anyone having to pull her off my leg! She is getting SO big! I wished I could have gotten a picture of her at practice but Baby A and Brother were both hungry, so I needed to get them home!

A couple projects

There have been a couple walls in our house that I have been meaning to decorate, but haven't found exactly what I wanted or had the time. I am finally getting to them, while Baby A naps.

This is in our basement hallway. I am not quite happy with the pictures in the frames, since it seems all my favorite pictures are the wrong direction. But it still turned out cute. The picture is misleading, since it is actually really big. Each picture is a 8 x 10.

I had to get my father-in-law to come help me with this next one! ;-) Since it was high in the stairwell we needed two ladders and a lot of measuring and adjusting. I had this Uppercase Living quote when we lived in the twin home, but never put it up. I never knew what to do with it. . . then one of my student's parents asked me for a copy of Baby A's footprints for something she is making. The hospital for some reason never gave them to me, so I had to do them myself. While I as making her footprints, the older two kids wanted theirs done too. That got me thinking as I was looking at how cute all their footprints were that I needed them put somewhere where I can always look at them and remember how sweet and precious they are! I think they go perfect with the quote, "Miracles, believe in them!"

My sister has a wall in her house with her kid's favorite artwork on it, so I got this idea from her but changed it a bit. I bought a board that was a 1 by 8 and 8 feet long. I painted it and then sanded the edges to make it more rustic. Then using my cricut I cut out the letters and mod podged them on. I wasn't sure how to hang the artwork until my sister-in-law came over last night and said she has seen something similar with hanging wire and clips. I ended up using twine and clothes pins instead. I love how it turned out! Now I just need to dig out a few more of their art projects to hang on it! :-)

Curly Sue

I keep telling everyone how curly Baby A's hair is when it is wet. I finally got a picture (not a very good one) after her bath today. When it dries and she rubs it against her blankets it goes straight. Hmmm. . . I better start researching how to style curls. :-)

Sisters

As soon as Miss E wakes up she asks to hold her sister! Best friends forever!!!

Pumpkin Patch

What is October without a trip to the pumpkin patch? On Sunday we went to one of the local pumpkin patches to pick out a couple pumpkins for the front of our house.

Of course Miss E wanted to find the perfect pumpkin. Even if it was too heavy for her to carry!

And brother didn't care what his looked like, he thought they were all perfect! Thankfully we were able to talk him into one that was a little bit more appealing!

Baby A's first trip to a patch. . . slept right through it!

Proof

She rolled over three more times today and I finally got one of them on video. :-)

6 Weeks

Yesterday our baby girl had her six week birthday and we had two major milestones! Last night she slept her first full night (from 10:00-6:30) and then today she rolled over TWICE! The first time she rolled over I thought I imagined it. I was giving her some tummy time and the next thing I knew she was on her back. I flipped her back over and she did it again! I ran to get my camera to try to capture it a third time, but she got tired from all the work and started crying and wanted nothing more to do with tummy time!

It is funny how we want them to stay small forever, but how excited we get when they do something new as they continue to grow. . . and grow. . . and GROW!!! :-)
